As a biomaterial scientist with eight years of experience in multidisciplinary scientific research in the field of bio-based materials. I have been involved in different academia-industry type of collaborations, and have gained substantial research experience from joint projects (e.g., Acel program, http://acelfinalreport.fi/content/fundamentals/cellulose-reactivity). My academic background is in Applied Chemistry, Nanoscience and Bioproduct Technology which expands my research skill in development of the sustainable cellulose-based materials such as cellulose-films and superhydrophobic cellulose nanocrystals-coated paper.

I invented two methods to improve the strength and stiffness of cellulose film/paper sheets without using any softening/toxic chemicals. I am really interested to present my last work of PhD studies that I did in collaboration with UPM (The Biofore Company).
