doctoral candidate | Aalto University

I began my academic career at University of Florence (Italy), where I accomplished a first BSc in Technology for the Conservation and the Restoration of Cultural Heritage (2009). During these first years, I became more and more interested in wood technology. Thus, to study wood technology more in depth, I achieved a second BSc in Forestry and Environmental Sciences (2013). Then, I moved to Finland, where I received an MSc in Bioproduct Technology (2016) at Aalto University. Currently, I cover a role of doctoral candidate at Aalto University.
Following my passion in wood technology, I ended up working with wood pulp. My research is mainly focused on pulp reactivity and pulp activation. Nonetheless, I have been working also with microfibrillar cellulose and superabsorbent cellulosics.
