The Slovak University of Technology in cooperation with EFPRO, CEPI, and Mondi hosts this year the EDS 2018 conference in Bratislava.  This afternoon, after the registration of the participants, the conference started. Compared to last year, there was a drop in conference attendees. However, those who came and presented their contributions showed a high level of presentation skills and a good quality of scientific work that they presented and were able to defend it well in the discussion. Most participants visited Bratislava for the first time and so the organizers decided that as part of the accompanying program is offered to them and explore the city with a certified guide and tasting of local specialties. The program will start on Wednesday with further student presentations followed by Patent and collaborative research session organized with the support of Mondi AG. The afternoon program will include the poster section with 9 subscribed posters.
